Well, we plunked down the cash to see a mass ascension of the special shapes balloons on Thursday morning, but alas, it was not to be. They did manage a static display of the special shapes, but no balloons could take off - the winds were just not cooperating. In fact, the winds were bad enough just a few feet above our heads that they could not really control the balloons well even on the ground. Balloons began deflating before we could get all the way from one end of the park to the other - less than an hour after they'd really started inflating.
So, these are shots of the balloons on the ground, not the more dynamic shots I'd hoped for. However, there are apparently a couple of nieces and nephews who are waiting for more pix. For the adults, scroll through the thumbnails and just look at the pictures you find interesting rather than all of them. :)
PLEASE NOTE: These are very image intensive pages and will take a while for everything to load. Please be patient. :)
Slideshow 1 = Noah's Ark, a butteryfly, a cactus and even a "keystone cop" and a turkey colliding!
Slideshow 2 = general shots. Group shots of multiple balloons and a couple of shots of the sky just because I thought they were cool.
Slideshow 3 = a jackolantern (being inflated), a tourist penguin, the POW/MIA balloon (including a glow shot), a shamrock, spiderpig, the Wells Fargo Stagecoach and the Creamland cow and a turtle.
Slideshow 4 = DARTH VADER - from partially inflated to full.
