Officer Rene Montoya partners with Detective Harvey Bullock, much to her dismay. Montoya is a wonderful cop who later in the Animated Series, makes detective. She is an officer of integrity, telling it like it is, no matter what the consequences. Unlike her partner, Montoya believes in the Batman's abilities and seems to trust him implicitly, even when it gets her in trouble with her partner.

Montoya was made from a Gargoyles Elisa Maza figure. I sanded down her various ridges and accoutrements, snagged a gunbelt from another figure and sculpted her hat from scratch. Her hair also underwent a trim both to have the hat fit and still look in scale as well as to have her look more like the cartoon. The costume I chose to paint differs from the trading card shown in the middle left picture, but more closely matches her uniform in several of the early episodes, before she made detective.
