When Dick Grayson left the Batman and joined the Teen Titans he was mercilessly teased for his short pants. (Well, and he wanted his own identity.) Tired of being known as the Boy Wonder and the second half of Batman and, Dick retired his Robin costume and became Nightwing -- a tip of the hat to his two mentors, Batman and Superman.

Nightwing is made from a BTAS Robin. The high collar and front of his hair is Sculpey. All details are painted freehand.

This was actually a very easy custom and one I've planned on for a LONG time. The paint job was very exacting, but I'm really pleased with the results.
