Aquaman

Aquaman, child of Atlantis. Here he is in his modern form. (I don't read the comic anymore, but I understand that he now has his hand back.) |

I've kept more to the Bruce Timm drawing than the "regular" comic. In the regular comic, Aquaman's armour over his chest comes down in three broad bands. In the Timm drawings that I've seen, the bands are horizontal and more numerous. |

This figure is relative simple. It's an old BTAS Batman figure with the extras sanded off. The hair is from a Toy Biz White Queen that I once picked up to make Zatanna (however, I'm a scale freak and she was just much too big). The fins on the backs of this legs are cut plastic from a bubble and inserted into a knife slash and superglued in place. The hook was made from Sculpey for the rounded wrist cuff and styrofoam for the hook itself. The armour is a mix of rubberband pieces (for the bit hung over the shoulder, and the bottoms of chest and arm) and Sculpey. |
